Pelz & Companion GmbH was founded on January 1, 2008 by Hubert Stiefenhofer, owner of Ortho Organizers® GmbH, and Wolfgang Pelz, formerly a consultant at Ormco Corporation. At the turn of the millennium, Mr Pelz had already taken the courses on lingual technology from Prof. Dr. Dirk Wiechmann organized. During his 25-year career in the field of orthodontics, Mr. Pelz has worked with the advice of Prof. Dr. Wiechmann - who is considered a leading orthodontist and authority in the field of lingual technology - has developed new products.

In April 2019, Mr. Pelz retired. Since then, Mr Stiefenhofer has been the sole managing director of Pelz & Partner GmbH.
